The board voted 4 to 1 to adopt the Report on Ethics Complaint 2025-13. The report concludes that Mayor Lily Wu violated a section of the Wichita Ethics Ordinance during the proclamation of Transgender Day of Visibility at the City Council Meeting on 3/18/25.

Wichita’s Ethics Board reviewed proposed updates to the city’s Code of Ethics, including removing outdated language, discussing official accountability for knowing the rules, and striking demographic diversity language. Members also noted the city may consolidate some boards.
