Wichita Documenters launched in May of 2024. They are a part of the national Documenters network, powered by City Bureau in Chicago, IL.

Funding for Wichita Documenters is provided by Wichita Foundation and is powered by the Wichita Journalism Collaborative. As Documenters are trained and paid to attend public meetings, the citizens of Wichita are given the opportunity to increase their civic knowledge and civic involvement. As this movement continues to grow, our city will be strengthened and Wichita can flourish.

There are dozens of meetings that happen in our city each month and they mostly go unnoticed. Wichita Documenters can bring these meetings to light and provide one central location to find them all.
